Contains the HAGERS-TOWN TOWN AND COUNTRY ALMANACK for 1858 interspersed with sewn in and loose pages containing Baker's handwritten diary entries. Entries chiefly describe activities relating to operating a farm, crops and animals. Additionally, after the journal entries for the month there is usually a list of dates Baker went to market with a dollar figure after them and a list of job duties performed throughout the month.
